Blue skies, fresh air....

Lexie tries to get comfy for the big car trip.
I feel great! Mum and I have just returned from a week of relaxation on the NSW South Coast, what a beautiful part of Australia. The scenery was spectacular with rolling green(ish!) hills that house many dairy farms and the gorgeous beaches and bays that make up the coastline. We left last Tuesday for Canberra where we caught up with Dad and some other family friends. We picked up Charlie and headed off towards the coast line for the house we had rented on Broulee Heads, next to several tiny beaches.
Walking down the Broulee Head towards Broulee South beach.
Our stay at the house didn't begin well when Lexie decided that she would roll in a nice big pile of sloppy dog poo ..... the once white Lexie was now covered in large splotches of brown, smelly goo. Needless to say, we were incredibly angry at Lexie and cursed her several times whilst trying to rid her of the mess and turn her into the white puppy again. We needed a drink after that incident, so settled down in front of 'Underbelly' with a bottle of bubbles and some fish and chips. Not long after, we had the call from Dad letting us know that there was a tsunami warning for the NSW South Coast......what the hell?! The rest of the night was spent calling the tsunami hotline and the local police to find out about the situation.
Walking on Broulee North beach.
We survived the tsunami (the water rose a huge 20cm!) and enjoyed the rest of our time immensely. We spent the days walking along the beach, reading, drinking wine and watching 'Underbelly' before heading back to Melbourne last night - a whooping 11.5 hour drive along the coast line!

Hot dogs have a paddle......unheard of for these two!
There was definitely a possum behind that fridge!
