Some of my lovely Chinese friends - Karen, Vera, Alice, Hazel and Eric
The second farewell dinner was in a slightly different restaurant - smoky and dirty with the background music of loud chattering and spitting. But, two things were the same - good food and good company. We gorged ourselves on 80 dumplings (pork and celery, egg and tofu, shrimp and vegetable, pork and cabbage) as well as all my other local favourites. To finish the night, Hazel and I treated ourselves to a 90 minute foot massage whilst watching an old favourite (and a new favourite for Hazel), 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. The owner of the massage place gave us free drinks as a farewell gift.

Spicy tofu and mince
Spicy shredded potato
Fried egg and tomato
Fried pork in a sweet sauce with garlic
The first of many rounds of dumplings
Hot apple covered in toffee
Ah, this is the life!
